By downloading or using Gemtag you agree to these terms. Gemtag is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; where these terms are silent, that agreement applies.

What Gemtag is

Gemtag is an inventory and label-printing app for jewellery businesses. It runs on your iPhone and iPad, stores your data on your own device and, optionally, in your own iCloud account. It is licensed to you for use, not sold.

Free use and Gemtag Pro

Gemtag can be used free of charge for up to 25 products. This is a lifetime allowance for the account, not a per-month one: deleting a product does not return its slot. The remaining allowance is shown in Settings at all times.
Gemtag Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly and yearly, that removes the product limit and unlocks unlimited label printing and the full reports section.

Subscription terms

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price shown at the time of purchase.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings.
Prices are shown in your local currency and may differ by country or region.

What happens if a subscription ends

Your data is never deleted, locked away, or held hostage. If a subscription lapses you keep full access to view and search your entire inventory, and to export everything — as PDF, CSV, plain text, or a complete backup file.

What stops working is the app's active use: adding new products, editing existing ones, printing labels and the reports section become unavailable until you subscribe again or fall back within the free allowance. Nothing is lost in the meantime.

Refunds

All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests are made to Apple, not to the developer, through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, including weights, prices and exchange-rate-based totals.
Exchange rates shown in Gemtag are approximate daily values from a public source, not live or exact bank rates. For high-value or critical calculations you should verify the current rate independently.
Backup files created by Gemtag are unencrypted plain text. Storing them safely is your responsibility.
You are responsible for keeping your own backups. The developer cannot recover data that is lost from your device or your iCloud account.

Printer compatibility

Gemtag supports network-connected label printers that accept ZPL (Zebra and compatible) or TSPL (TSC, Godex, Argox and compatible) commands over TCP port 9100. Compatibility with any specific printer model is not guaranteed; label sizes and alignment should be verified with a test print. Printing of non-Latin text depends on the fonts built into your printer.

Gemtag is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or business interruption arising from use of the app.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always the one posted on this page.
